Sciencetool St. Stephen's Laboratory Vacuum Pump Instructions Manual model: R300, R400, R600, R410, R610 Instructions: 1. Dismantle the product packaging of the laboratory vacuum pump , connect the equipment to be matched, respectively the inlet connection of the pump tube and the pump, the connection between the pump tube and the use equipment, whether the vacuum adjustment valve knob is tightened, and whether the plastic filter cup and the head are tightened. Make sure there are no air leaks everywhere. 2. Turn on the power, turn on the power switch of the machine, and start the laboratory vacuum pump. 3. During the working process of the laboratory vacuum pump , the vacuum degree can be observed through the vacuum gauge at the inlet of the vacuum pump, and the metal knob (ie, the vacuum regulating valve) at the bottom of the filter cup can be adjusted to adjust the vacuum degree and the pumping speed. 4. After the work is finished, it is not recommended to directly close the vacuum pump. The connecting hose should be removed and the air should be continuously pumped to remove the water vapor from the suction pump. The scope of products: Due to the difference between laboratory vacuum pump and pumping speed, the types of equipment that can be matched in the laboratory will be different. Users should choose the appropriate model and the corresponding equipment. Otherwise, the vacuum and pumping speed may be insufficient. For the problem of poor gas performance, the recommended scope of application is as follows: Vacuum filtration: R300 can generally be used. When the liquid particulate content is too much or too viscous, R410 laboratory vacuum pump (0.097MPa) with higher vacuum should be used. Vacuum drying oven: It is recommended to use R610 laboratory vacuum pump with high pumping speed, but the combined drying tank volume is not recommended to exceed 50L; Solid phase extraction: It is recommended to use a product with a faster pumping speed due to the structure of the device, such as R400 (pumping speed: 34L/min) laboratory vacuum pump; Cell culture medium waste liquid extraction: R300 is recommended for general laboratory users. If there are more treatments, the R600 laboratory can be selected as the most basic; Drying tanks made of plastic or glass: It is recommended to use a product with a higher degree of vacuum, which can absorb more air and the drying effect will be better; Electrophoretic transfer: R300 is recommended. For other equipment not listed, please consult the technical staff. The above scope of use is for reference only. Precautions: 1. This equipment is not suitable for pumping corrosive gases. It is forbidden to pump liquids or gases that are prone to generate volatile liquids (such as chlorine). If the equipment is inhaled a small amount of steam or organic gas during operation, in order to prevent corrosion of internal components caused by steam or organic gas condensate, air should be pumped for at least 0.5-1h to empty. 2. This equipment is not suitable for pumping hot gases. When the pump temperature exceeds 90 °C, overheat protection will be enabled; after the temperature drops below 60 °C, it can be used normally. If it is necessary to pump high temperature gas for a long time, it is recommended to add a cold trap in front of the vacuum pump to reduce the temperature of the gas drawn into the vacuum pump. 3. Keep well ventilated to facilitate heat dissipation and extend life. 4. If using this series of vacuum pump with vacuum drying oven, please open the vacuum valve of the vacuum drying box, start the vacuum pump to vacuum the drying box, and then start the vacuum drying oven to achieve the required vacuum. The vacuum pump is not easy to work on the vacuum drying oven after heating for a long time. For details, please refer to Article 2 of the precautions. 5. If you use this series of vacuum pump with vacuum filter device or for liquid suction, you should pay attention to timely pouring the liquid in the waste liquid bottle of the vacuum filter device. The liquid directly sucked into the vacuum pump can easily cause damage to the vacuum pump. If a small amount of liquid is inadvertently drawn into the pump during use, please do not turn off the vacuum pump immediately. The pump tube connected to the vacuum pump should be removed immediately, so that the vacuum pump can pump air for at least 0.5-1h to empty; if a large amount of liquid is accidentally pumped in In the vacuum pump, please contact your dealer immediately. Common fault analysis: 1. Decrease in vacuum a) Connection point leakage - check that each connection point is well sealed. b) The vacuum regulator valve is not fully closed – tighten the lower knob of the vacuum regulator valve. c) If the filter cup is tightened – re-screw the filter cup and reinstall it. d) After the perennial use or inhalation of corrosive steam, the seal of the piston plate is reduced - replace the piston set (please contact the dealer for replacement or replacement). 2. Unable to start a) Drain a large amount of liquid, causing the Palin rod to rust - replace the piston set (please contact the dealer for replacement or replacement). b) Switch aging - replace the switch (please contact the dealer for replacement or replacement). c) Startup capacitor aging - more common to users who use it frequently, should replace the starting capacitor (please contact dealer for replacement or replacement). d) Motor damage - the cause is more complicated (please contact the dealer for replacement or replacement).
