The biological rice preservative developed jointly by Hunan Agricultural University and Yueyang Jinniu Bio-Technology Co., Ltd. enables rice preservation to be 2-3 times longer than conventional rice preservation. Recently, this achievement passed the expert appraisal organized by the Science and Technology Department of Hunan Province, filling the domestic gap.

At present, rice preservation is mainly through the construction of large-scale drying processing centers (CE) and modern low-temperature warehouses to extend rice preservation time, which is costly.

The rice bio-preservation agent is made of organic compounds with highly water-soluble deacetylation chitin (chitosan), high activity glucose oxidase and other biological components. It has good moisture-proof, anti-bacterial and anti-metamorphism for rice. Effectiveness, storage and preservation period of up to 6 months, up to two years. With this technology, there is no need to change the rice processing process, and the cost per 50 kg of preservation is only 1.5 yuan.
