However, for larger infants and young children (6-36 months) of formula food, the difference with the EU standard is obvious, and China’s index requirements are relatively loose, but the EU has followed the requirement pattern of infant formula (0-6 months). Both the upper and lower limits of the indicators have been specified.

For young children over 3 years of age, there is no specific child food safety standard in China. Research shows that in terms of daily snack consumption, children’s consumption is on average 2-3 times higher than parents’ consumption. The daily intake of food additives for children is more than 10 kinds, up to more than 50 kinds a day.
