96 hospitals in Guangdong and Hubei provinces should be equipped with large medical equipment such as CT, DSA and MRI (with list)

In May 2016, the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council issued the “Amendment of the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Medical Devices” (draft for review), which stipulates that medical institutions may not use large-scale medical equipment without permission to prevent the change from “medical treatment” to "Repair the doctor with a weapon."

The draft for review is clear, and the medical device users are required to allocate large-scale medical equipment, which must be approved by the competent health and family planning department of the people's government at or above the provincial level and obtain the configuration license before being configurable. The competent department of health and family planning shall evaluate the use of large-scale medical equipment and standardize its use behavior.

Recently, the Hubei Provincial Health Planning Commission and the Guangdong Provincial Health Planning Commission issued announcements/publications, and (intended) agreed to allocate (update) Class B large-scale medical equipment to some hospitals in the province.
